She had spent so much time in the lab that she had neglected the perfectly good rec room and gym, instead crawling straight into bed or beelining it to the holodeck to work on her puzzle after each shift.  She needed to give herself more time to relax and get to know people. She shut down her station and let a sigh escape her lips, rubbing the bridge of her nose.  Staring at screens going through page after page of data could be surprisingly exhausting at times.  She needed some coffee...she wondered if the starbase had a coffee shop she could visit. First, a change of clothes, then seeing the sights!  She had always loved learning about new people and cultures, and a part of her wondered just how many different cultures would be represented on the station.  She smiled, and waved at her CO across the room. "Hey, Lieutenant; are you going to visit the base? It would give you a chance to stretch your legs outside of this metal bubble." (Reply Maddox) (SB 159 Admin. RADM Matrix 1323) "You've no doubt wondered why you were summoned by us versus SF command. I'll mince no words" Sloan said. (Reply None) (Posted by Steve) (SB 159 - Docking Bay 12 - 3O Lt.Cmdr. Jessica Signos - Day 48 - 1324) Jessica was the last off of the crew off the Templar. The starbase seemed eerie. She could feel the eyes on her boring into her. This was a S31 outpost that was clear at a glance and seeing several people milling about in S31 uniforms. The Capt. and Admiral had already been escorted off by the time she exited the Templar. A S31 engineer came up to her. "Excuse me Special Agent Lily." He asked getting her attention. "Yes, what do you need." Jessica responded, as the agent handed her a PADD. The PADD contained docking information and the station crew that was assigned to take the place of the Templar main complement staff. Also there was a list of maintenance and ship upgrades that were to be made. Jessica checked over the PADD before handing it back to the engineer. "Leasion with the Templar's engineers. Also how do you know who I am." "Not many with your size or your reputation with in the agency. Your something of a local legend." The engineer replied. "Then you know my body count," she locked eyes with the engineer. "Let me make this clear, you cross your authority on the Templar you will be added to that body count understood." "Crystal..." the engineer responded clearly shaken. The engineer disappeared into the ship grateful to escape the small woman. "You always knew how to intimidate the masses." Jessica turned to the oddly familiar voice, a verbal assault clearly on her tongue till she saw the person. Her entire body softened, "Olly..." she ran into the womans arms in a long embrace. "Its been so long Oleander how have you been." "It has been..." the tall white haired woman replied. "What are you doing her." Jessica replied. "I've been assigned to you while you are here. Since you've been gone things change. While you are remembered there are some who resent your time in the federation. They don't understand why you haven't been recalled back into service." Oleander replied. "Command doesn't what an incident on station so they assigned a friendly face to you while you are here to keep you out of trouble." (Reply any) (Posted by Matthew Locke) (Valkrie Echo, ELINT Variant - Warp Space, approaching Starbase 159 - aFO CMDR Brown/CAPT Durand - 1430) "Hey kid, you awake back there?" The gruff voice which he'd come to know so very well was close, though he could not, of course, any longer see its source. "I'm here Captain...sir." He managed, through the dull pain. The Captain had proven himself a fine medic indeed, but with the tools he'd had to work with, the healing was far from complete. It would be a long and rocky road as yet. An almost derisive snort followed, although Dan Brown knew there was neither mockery nor dismissal in the sound. Just a wry attempt at humor. "All this time, all these miles, no brass around, and *still* I get that formal rank crap from you?" Brown could feel the crooked smile he could not see. "Okay Alan, okay. The instinct for respect dies harder than the officer does, it seems." He started to laugh, then stifled it. The act hurt far too much at this stage of treatment. "Care to tell me again how lucky I am you picked me out of that mess?" ~Kid, if you only knew what was coming, you sure as Hell wouldn't be thanking me!~ "I'll settle for, let's see... how's your first born male child sound?" Dan was a silent a moment, then he realized it must have been yet another anachronistic joke the Captain was quipping... and yet another one he didn't quite understand. "Alan, did anyone ever tell you that the joke isn't really funny if you have to explain it?" "What makes you think I was joking?" He paused scanning the instruments briefly. They were close now, and it soon would be time to face the music. Durand briefly considered just how costly this particular Butcher's Bill was going to be when it came due. He would pay it, in spades, or in flesh if necessary. He'd had more than enough of SF Intel and Section 31, either together or separately. They'd sidetracked his career, there was little else they could do to him. It was Brown he was worried about. And Matrix, and Jackson for that matter. Though he'd heard tell they might both have enough friends in high places to shield them. Not so Durand; he'd played all his cards long since. He put that line of thought into the background -- merely a subroutine for the moment. "We're getting close now Dan. ETA to 159 is about forty minutes. They'll be able to fix you up properly." ~I hope...~ (Reply None) (Posted by Russ) (Karli's Quarters/SB 159 Promenade - Karli Aisha Day 48, 2100) Ensign 'Aisha made her way to her quarters, where she slipped out of her uniform and into a soft, brightly colored, loose-fitting tunic and billowing deep blue pants that cinched around the ankles.  She loosened her veil a bit, releasing it from the tightly wrapped style the wore during her shift. She smiled to herself, riffling her fingers through her dark hair to untangle the tightly braided plait she put it in today.  As she unraveled it, the locks bloomed into almost an uncontrollable mane of kinky curls cascading down around her slender bronze neck to just below her flawless exposed shoulder blades. She smiled and, using a simple chalk powder faded her lashes, and applied a simple shadow to her eyelids to help them blend into the color of her eyes.  This way, they would not be as recognizable through the gauze of her veil's fa-lei (the curtain-like covering over the upper half of her face.)  Satisfied with her new appearance, 'Aisha made her way out the door and towards the transporter room to enjoy some much anticipated shore leave. The Base was alive with activity; noises and smells assaulted Karli's senses in a joyous cacophony as she walked through the promenade.  She brushed her hand against a hanging rug at a textile vendor's stall, and the Doosodarian could swear that it was made from the softest of Sehlat fur,  and the colors seemed to sing across her fingertips. She breathed deeply as the tantalizing smell of fresh Indian curry wafted down the walkway, taunting her with visions of delectable feasts and wonderful fried street food.  She could hear the upbeat singing of a group of Bajoran students as they learned their morning sutras, and in another direction the congratulatory hollers of a winning Dabo streak from the bar. Karli continued walking down the promenade, grinning like a child in a candy store.  She could hear people arguing avidly as they haggled prices, bargained trades, and gossiped about the latest sub-light race, stock shift, or political upheaval.  Here, a group of Klingon warriors argued over a new style of Bat'Leth, their sharpened teeth glinting in the fluorescent light of a nearby cretinoid as it got a new design emblazoned on it's upper shell.  There, a Cardassian female flirted with a Rigelian, flaring her neck beautifully and showing off the purple and blue iridescence of her scales as her eyes flashed back and forth seductively in their fevered dance. A shrill cry broke out across the deck; a high-pitched pulsating trill that hit Karli's ears and - to the science officer's astonishement - vibrated ever so slightly in subspace.  'Aisha's scientific nature overcame her; she had to find out where that sound came from! She glided across the walkway, pushing and weaving through the crowd of shoppers, abjectly avoiding a Ferengi selling Nolwar spice crystals, and slipping through the grasp of a Dopterian perfume vendor intent on spraying her with some over-musky odour.  The screech came again; Closer than before - on my left!  Karli whirled to her left, nearly ran into a Corellian Trader's tent pole, and slipped past an aggravated customer to the stall just past them.  She gazed at the back of the Trader's counter, catching a glimpse of a wide variety of illegal spices and drafts. He was in direct violation of Base regulations, and seemed to have no qualms about selling them to the various passers-bye.  She was about to jump up and confront the vagabond when she saw it. The little creature was crammed into a small cage, with barely enough room to stretch its neck enough to chortle properly.  It's vibrantly colored wings were strapped to its body, the claws at the tips of it's long finger-like wing bones straining to reach for the offensive restraints.  Reptilian eyes honed in on 'Aisha as she crouched, frozen in her tracks, and a small, barely audible chirrup wisped from it's throat between dozens of razor sharp teeth.  It's eyes shifted focus and scaley lips drew back in a momentary gurgling snarl, as the creature's feathery plume rose in a useless show of aggression. Suddenly, the strange creature whipped it's head back to bite at the restraints pinning it to the cage.  Karli was mesmerized as she watched the little one's struggle; where did it come from? What was it? Why was the trader treating it so poorly? She decided in a moment what had to be done: It was coming home with her. Striding confidently up to the trader, Karli flashed her most alluring smile.  The Benzite trader took a deep huff from his atmo-mister and his face leks wriggled, sensing a new fish coming in for the bait.  Karli could tell by the way he looked at her that he thought she was just another Dabo girl coming in for another shot of the ever-popular Corellian spice dust.  Boy, was he about to be proven wrong! She leaned on the counter, her voluptuous mane falling over her shoulders to frame her face. "Bless my bulb, if it isn't a Doosodarian!" the Benzite exclaimed, burbling with a ridiculous grin. "I thought your kind didn't leave your planet for any reason.  And is that a firestone adorning your veil? A very rare specimen indeed." 'Aisha shrugged off his compliments. "I wanted to see the stars.  I decided to see what they had to offer that my...planet...might not." She flashed him another smile.  She picked up a small, delicately carved necklace. "How much is this?" she asked innocently. "Ah, that my luv is a handcrafted ritual mane from the Glikar'ma Ice spiders of Dera IV.  You can keep it for a simple...5 bars of gold pressed latinum." "Hmm I'm not sure..." Aisha murmured, and set the necklace back down begrudgingly.  She allowed her eyes to rest inquisitively on the creature's cage. Their eyes met and it seemed as if their souls connected. "How much is that diminutive little creature?" The Benzite looked behind him and, noticing the caged creature, turned back quickly. "Oh that?  Well, it's nothing you would be interested in darling....Not truely for sale, you see." "Oh but I must have it!" The Benzite squirmed. "I...I'm afraid I can't sell it to you...he's unavailable.  Sick, you see, an-and vicious - besides, I doubt you have the latinum for him." With that the Benzite turned and began to rummage around as if to close up shop. Karli glimpsed what could have been mistaken for a tear welling in the creature's eye.  The light of the promenade seemed to glint in the tear like a campfire's flame...fire... "But what if I offered this?" The Benzite froze, slowly turning to look at the Doosodarian's hand.  Her chained pin had been removed, and laid tangled in her long-fingered hand.  Dangling from the center of the headpiece was the large, glimmering firestone the Benzite had been so taken with before.  His eyes grew large, and his lek quivered once more as he thought it over. He seemed to be thinking a rather long time, and Karli slowly removed a smaller version of the large gem from her left hand's middle finger, dropping it to rest in its palm along with the headpiece. The Benzite Trader grabbed the headpiece out of Karli's hand, tossed the creature's cage and key up on the counter. "Sold." Steve deserved much better treatment. LT. Cmdr Chance Raschen had been called away on a special assignment of unknown length. Besides Admiral Matrix, Chance was Tom's oldest friend. She walked over to the merchant words were shared in a low hushed manner to not be over heard. Jessica watched as the man backed away from her all color draining from his face as he hurried to return the Firestone. Jessica flashed a disarming smile as walked away from the merchant and back to Karli and handed the stone over to her. Setting down the cage for a moment, Karli pinned the headdress back onto her veil, allowing the firestone to drip perfectly down the center of the curtain-like veil over her eyes. She smiled a genuine, laugh-filled smile as she slipped the ring back onto her left hand. "Thank you so much commander!" Karli beamed, "You have surely saved the day today in more ways than one." "I am glad I could help, but really did not do much." She smiled, Jessica had no love for crooked merchants and no time for the games they normally played. It was about this time there was a loud screeching from the small cage as the animal protested its housing. "I would love to have a friend help me aquaint this little beauty to its new home on the Templar...would you like to come along?" "I'm sorry but I have other appointments to keep but I will drop in to make sure that you had no problem getting him on ship." Jessica spoke calmly looking at the small creature. Oleander came up to the pair. Jessica knew how easily she could fall into the surrounding and seemingly disappear. She spoke softly as if not knowing her place. "There is a small store just around the corner that offers supplies for exotic pets and things. Maybe going there first will be helpful if nothing else you might be able to find a harness. At least it would be better than keeping the little one in a cage." (Reply Karli) Jessica and Oleander watched as the Karli left to continue her adventure. "That was nice Ollie," Jessica responded after her crew mate left. "Thank you." "It seemed important to you." Oleander replied. "Lily can we talk." "About what Ollie?" Jessica responded "Family is not about blood ties." Oleander spoke softly coming face to face with her friend. "The Templar is not your family." "What!" Jessica responded coldly. "You have no right to..." "I have every right." Oleander spoke boldly. "Have you forgotten your sisters, your family here. Those that have bleed with you... for you." "Of course I haven't forgotten you." Jessica replied sternly. "Really it seems since you found An. No since you found the crew of the Templar that you've forgot those in your past." Oleander continued her voice rising. "Your going to far Oleander." Jessica's voice raised to match. As Oleander stepped past her. "What is this about, where is this coming from. What have I done to you." Oleander turned on Jessica tears in her face. "Night, is dead. She passed some time ago. I sent you a message on a coded secure line but nothing." "What" Jessica responded taken a back. "Oleander, I had no ideal..." Oleander rolled her eyes in response. "Oleander, you know me I would not lie to you about this, I had no ideal." Jessica took her long time friend in her arms. "What happened." "She always looked up to you, when you never came back she started to take more dangerous missions. She wanted to take your place to fill your shoes and earn her freedom as you did." Oleander started regaining her composure. "But in the end she wasn't you. She died alone and afraid." "I'm sorry, I had no ideal." Jessica spoke past the tightness that had been growing in her chest. "The Garden of Eden project is all but over you and I are the last. S31 deemed it a success and are driving forward with there new program." Oleander spoke. "There is no longer a need for me here." Jessica nodded. "Come we will find out something, and I am sorry for being so cold with you." "Lily, you are my sister if not by blood then by what we have survived together. I can't stay mad at you forever." Oleander spoke as the two walked off the promenade deck. Oleander placed her hand on Jessica's  shoulder  before she moved off giving the two three privacy but keeping both in eye sight. "Jessica, I hope I didn't pull you away from anything important?" The Captain asked. She glanced at her childhood friend. "Her name is Oleander, an old friend of sorts." "I've been pondering something and wanted to seek your counsel " Tom added. Jessica nodded allowing the captain to continue his train of thought. Commander Raschen had been called away on a special mission. This leaves a hole in out command ream" Tom waited a second to see if she wanted to say something.  "Yes, he does seem to vanish from time to time."she responded matter of factly. "I've made my choice and want to offer you the position of Second  Officer on the TEMPLAR " Again, he paused to wait for  her reaction. Jessica sighed as she considered who was around her and the Captains offer. She took a deep breath to steady herself. "I don't mean to insult you and I am sure this is something that you have considered. My past, I know I can be your Second Officer. But can you knowing all that you know I am and with what is still unknown of my past accept me as your 2O or even your FO when and if the time comes." She became quite filled her head as she took in his gaged his response. (Reply Jackson) (Posted by Matthew Locke) (SB 159 Promenade - 3O Lt.Cmdr Jessica Signos - Day 49,1327) Jessica was walking to promenade of the starbase the noise of commerce and trade being conducted tried to drown out her worries of the meeting she just had with the Captain. She was to become the 2O of the templar. It seemed S31 was moving people into key command positions. Jackson's connection to his father and his love to his family were being used against him if he did not play to S31 tune.  Jessica had her past she knew she could not out run it forever and at some point in time she would have to go back to S31, break ties with them completely, or they will kill her. But for the time being they needed her alive and well. Matrix had no connection, no such leverage and so he had to be removed. From what little she knew of the meeting the Captain had earlier that seemed the case. Jessica was distracted by a loud shrieking noise that echoed though the promenade, so she decided to investigate. Oleander following close behind her. "Lily it's been a while since we last seen each other are we not to speak." "I have no love of S31," Jessica responded "I love you Oleander you like the rest of us from Eden. But, with everything that happened today what would you expect me to say, what idle conversation is there to have." She answered as they continued to walk.  The stall came into view and Jessica could clearly see the merchant haggling prize with a veiled Doosidarian. That by itself was a rare enough sight. It was then that Jessica remembered that a Doosidarian just transferred to the templar. Even though she had yet to meet the woman Jessica remembered enough to know that this was her. She watched her pull a gem off her veil and prepare to hand it over to the merchant. Jessica moved with all haste. She reached out grabbing to merchant by the arm.  "I assume all the noise is being caused by this small creature her she motioned to the small cage." The merchant nodded all color fading from his person, as he looked to Oleander. "You know who I am right she look her eyes on the merchant." Her voice was cold as ice. To which he nodded. "Where are you papers and permits to sell such a creature as this?" The merchant gulped hard at a lose for words. "Now hand over the creature to my friend's custody and return her gem." (Reply Karli) She smiled at the new officer before looking back at the merchant. "Be thankful that this is all I ask for and not you life or report you to station security for your illegal operations." The merchant nodded knowing better than to argue with some with the reputation Signos had gained. Dropping the Firestone on the counter he withdrew his hand from Jessica's grasp. He then moved to allow the Doosidarian access to the small cage it was hers now. (Reply Karli) (Posted by Matthew Locke.) (SB 159 Promenade - Ensign 'Aisha Karli - Day 49,1335) Aisha picked up the cage, the little beast screeching and gnashing at the bars of the cramped container. It seemed to sense its freedom was near, and it couldn't wait to get out. She cooed and spoke softly to the creature as she walked away, determined to make sure the Benzite thought she was not starfleet. She would send a report to the Base as soon as she got back to the ship letting the Commander know about the illegal trades the Benzite was inciting under his nose. The Doosodarian walked unknowingly past commander Signos; she had yet to meet the Lt. Commander and would have missed her chance if it weren't for the squawking of Karli's new pet seeming to draw the commander's attention. "Excuse me I assume all the noise is being caused by this small creature?" 'Aisha looked up in surprise and blushed slightly under her veil. "Yes," she said apologetically, "I'm afraid it is. I just rescued this poor little thing from a Benzite trader down the walkway and it's practically biting my hand trying to get out of the cage. I think she was starved." The feathered captive rattled the cage Karli was holding, reminding Karli it was terribly hungry and grumpy due to being stuck in such a small space. "The merchant... was his price reasonable?" Signos asked, "It seemed that you might have given up something... important?" Jessica asked of her shipmate. Karli blushed as she remembered the firestone headdress she had relinquished to the Benzite's grubby little hands. "It's hard to put a price on a life, commander - the headpiece was mostly of sentimental value, really. The firestones are fairly common on my planet, but extremely rare beyond Doosodar since the people there...don't typically travel much." "If it is important do you want me to see if I can reason with the merchant and have him return the stone? Don't worry about your new pet I will make sure no harm comes to him and he will stay yours." "Oh, why thank you Commander," Karli smiled, "How very noble of you!" She leaned closer to the officer with a wry look in her dimpled cheeks. "He is actually selling some far more interesting items behind his counter you could pin him on. Many of the 'spices' I caught a glimpse of during our encounter are not legal in the Federation, I believe." The science officer tapped her nose knowingly. (Tag Signos) Setting down the cage for a moment, Karli pinned the headdress back onto her veil, allowing the firestone to drip perfectly down the center of the curtain-like veil over her eyes. She smiled a genuine, laugh-filled smile as she slipped the ring back onto her left hand. "Thank you so much commander!" Karli beamed, "You have surely saved the day today in more ways than one." (Tag Signos) Their conversation was interrupted by yet another plaintive screech from the cage. 'aisha knelt down and looked the creature "Don't worry little one," she crooned, "I'll let you out soon," Karli cooed to the creature softly as it gnawed at the bars of the little cage. It stopped and seemed to look at the woman with a desperate gleam in its eyes, it's jaw still biting at the reinforced bars. How long had it been kept in there? Karli wondered. She turned to the commander. "I would love to have a friend help me aquaint this little beauty to its new home on the Templar...would you like to come along?" (Reply Signos) (Posted by Bill) (Star Fleet HQ - San Francisco Earth - Matrix- 1711) Matrix had endured four days of hearings, small group and individual meetings with, it seemed, just about every top brass in Star Fleet. Oddly enough, no one from Section 31. Sloan was in attendance throughout, but he never testified, nor did he speak publicly to Matrix and there were plenty of opportunities. For whatever the reason Sloan or Section 31 had effectively ended Matrix's captaincy. Looking back on the recent past Sloan had some hand in derailing missions under Matrix's command. Matrix would likely never know the truth or details, but would gather information as it presented itself. Earlier Callahan had told Matrix of Sloan's fate. He was officially reprimanded and tenured to an unknown assignment and position, but somehow Matrix knew they would cross paths again. Star Fleet for their part, officially recognized the Bajoran crisis as an internal issue, but remained ready to render assistance should the Bajoran's request it. A small contingent of medical and supply ships were already back in Federation space and onto the next thing. The admiralty heard the last of the testimony and entered it into the records and dismissed the entire contingent. As he rose with the others he was congratulated by many on his way out of the hearing chamber. Several admirals, captains and commanders took the opportunity to shake his hand and give their off-the-record advice and conjecture. A handful of second officer proposals, committee chairmanships and some retirement jokes rounded out the discourse. Matrix had learned of his fate over a day ago. Sore from the last several missions he was eager to leave the command chair for something new. Especially knowing the Templar was in good hands under Jackson. The hallway back to the main concourse was long and already waiting for him was Admiral Callahan. Matrix hoped Garrett wasn't wanting an answer so soon. "See me off admiral?" asked Matrix. "Of sorts." Callahan started as they both turned and walked together down the nearly empty hallway. "Steve I wanted to let you know we're sorry it had to end this way, but at least you've been reinstated and can continue with your career." "Oh I think my days as a captain are over...at least aboard a star ship." Started Matrix. "Perhaps for now, but I want you to think over our proposal." continued Callahan. "I can make just about anything happen, but if you need it, take some time to make a decision." "Thank you sir." replied Matrix as he removed the rear admiral pips from his collar. "You'll no doubt want these back?" Callahan took them and handed him a small rank insignia box. "Try these on when you're ready." Dan Brown hadn't been released back to the Templar as yet. He couldn't depart on the next mission without a First Officer. He heard his terminal beep indicating he had an incoming message. Tom verified his id and the face of his old friend Steve Matrix appeared. Steve let him know that he was staying at SF hqs as Strategic Ops director as a Commdore and not coming back to the Templar. This greeatly saddened Tom, but at the same time he was happy for his oldest friend but now he felt very, so vety alone. The shore leave party would be starting soon. (SB-159- Hof Brau House - Lt. CMDR Jessica Signos - Day 64, 1807 ) Time passed Jessica spent her leave either on the Templar overseeing the installation of new upgrades and removing S31 listening devices, she knew it would be some time before all the "bugs" would be worked out of the new equipment. But it could be done.  If she wasn't on the Templar she was on the starbase wondering the promenade dropping into restaurant after restaurant. Finding new places to dance it seemed the starbase had no shortage of clubs or dance floors for her to wear out. As leave drew to a close it was no surprise to her that the captain would call the crew to a party. Either that or the Captain had his arm twisted by his wife to throw a party after all it was no secret his wife liked to entertain. Jessica entered Hof Brau House her hair was done up in twin french braids going down her hair a long strand of lace was laced though hair forming a long corset braid. Dressed a kimono wrapped around her person making the sakura blossoms upon the kimono seeming to float across the wind. "Hello Jessica. How's shore leave going?": Tom inquired, as the Captain came up to her. "It goes well, captain." She answered as she made her way past. "I hope you and your wife are enjoying shore leave." (Reply Jackson's)  Jessica made her way to a table and ordered a drink as the night carried on. Jessica mingled with people from the crew. Getting to know those who were new to the crew and catching up with those she had not seen during downtime. Jackson took to the stage as the main event started. The captain started with several position changes. She applauded to those who were honored with the added responsibilities of new positions. Stepping up when others stepped down was not a common trait. She heard when Bruce was called as the new 2O for Jessica was told she was to be the 2O. It was a surprising change. Then the captain called her name for the Templar new first officer. Jessica and Tom did talk about her taking the FO spot if it opened but Jessica thought it would be more time. The change happened rather suddenly. She lifted her glass in acceptance of her new position, and smiled. She already knew what the test would basically tell them, but, other than than that was a mystery to her. She hoped that when they found out they would come talk to her and let her help them. She knew that the ship had undergone a change of captains and she hadn't yet went to talk to the new captain even though from what she was hearing and sensing he was handling the ship and crew rather well. She needed to make it a point to speak with him. maybe this party would be a rather good place to do that, she thought. After putting on the appropriate outfit for this party she headed to part with the crew. Tom knew he had taken good care of their twins. Jackson entered Sick Bay and called out "Dr. Conley, are you around?". Tyler pocked his head out of one of the supply room door he had already found more stuff from what e gave the guy before. “Captain is everything okay?” Tyler asked as he never  saw the captain in sickbay with out his kid or wife "I was wondering if you'd be interested in being the Templar's CMO?" Jackson asked. “Wait what…” Tyler had to stop himself from laughing as he had no reason “Sir if this is a real offer I would be honored.” "Good. Assemble a list of needed itrms, and, send it to the FO om?" Tom ordered. “already on it those Starfleet medical people never prepare a starship the way they should… but not on my watch..” (reply Jackson IYW) (posted by Richard) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Mission: Daedulus Prime day: 67 Stardate: 2418.02.11 USS Templar - FO Quarters - Cmdr. Jessica Signos - Day 67, 0851 (USS Templar Observation Lounge ACMO LT Tyler Conley 0900) USS Templar - FO Quarters - Cmdr. Jessica Signos - Day 67, 0657) It was early and the day was long. Yet the Templar was not yet do to cast off till tomorrow. After the party Jessica returned to the Templar to find that she had already been moved from her Quarters to her new assigned lodging in the FO quarters they were larger than she expected. It would take her some time to make herself comfortable but that would have to come later. She pulled the freshly  replicated uniform from its place in a closet that was large enough for more than she needed. It was odd the uniform felt heavy, she pinned her rank in place and the uniform got heavier still.  'Is this the right choice. How can Jackson trust me when he knows I am or was a Section 31 agent.' Before she was the 3O now she was one step from commanding her own starship. It all seemed that unreal. For the longest rank had eluded her now it seemed it jumped on her collar without hesitation. She hoped she could do the trust Jsckson put in her justice. The Templar was her home and her crew was her family she would die before she saw it harmed. Jessica took solace in her defiance and dawned the rest of her uniform and exited her quarters the make her morning rounds of the templar. (USS Templar Observation Lounge CAPT Jackson 0845) Tom arrived early for his first meeting as Captain in command. He had distributed padds to each attendee. Tom tapped his comm badge and ordered "all senior officers report to the Observation Lounge for a pre-mission briefing at 0900. Please acknowledge message receipt " (Reply all players) Tom sat back and thought about what lay ahead. The crew began arriving. Tom greeted his friends. He allowed them a few minutes to get something to drink and sample the assorted pastries he had provided. "I trust you all have great shore leave. It's good to be back home." Tom said. (Reply Any present) " A couple of positional changes to announce. It's my pleasure to announce the elevation of Lt Cecilia Bruce to Second Officer". (Reply Bruce) "Cmdr. Dan Brown has returned to us. Jessica Signos - Day 67, 0851) Jessica entered the Observation Lounge well before the meeting started, she carried her normal duty PADD which she made notes and remarks on what she saw about the ship. Here she had a final check list on what needed to be done before they casted off. The meeting came to a start as Tom started he welcomed back Cmdr. Brown and officially promoted Bruce to 2O. Then the Captain called her name. And lastly, as a consequence of this move we have a new First Officer.  Im proud to apooint Lt. Cmdr Signos as the new FO - congratulations Cmdr Signos" Tom added. Jessica moved to forward to stand before the Captain, as he waved her to come foward. "Jessica, as a result of your new position, I hereby promote you to the rank of full Commander. Congratulations  Commander Signos. " To m said ad he pinned her new rank on her collar. "Thank you sir, I will do all I can not to let you or the Templar down." Please acknowledge message receipt "=/\= Tyler Walked in to the room he ad a PADD in head he had spent a few days working on a new rotation and duty schedule for sickbay the only thing left was for the new FO to approve it. He wasn’t sure if that was going to happen but he knew this was a good rotation for the size of the crew keeping 4 medical personal on shift at all time should meet the ships need. "I trust you all have great shore leave. It's good to be back home." Tom said. Tyler thought for a second of his time off and the amount of reading he got done he really needed to disconnect for a few days and not have to deal with people and he really enjoyed that and now felt renewed. Tyler listed as he handed out the new personal changes noting that his schedule would need to be approved by Commander Signos he would make it a point to stop her after everyone had left. " Each of you has a padd with our new mission data on it. It is a first contact type mission. Review it with your personnel. We shove off tomorrow. The FO and I are available for questions " Tom concluded. Tyler picked up the PADD giving it a glace this mission relived him a little at least he didn't need to prepaire for mass casualty.
